One year into the Pandemic, the world as we knew it changed, the foundations of its operations shaken to the core, questions asked of everyone from expert scientists, to pastors, to fathers, mothers, leaders, friends, everyone, a sense of harmony and fellowship negatively impacted; Every passing day, a new wave of uncertainty, anger, frustration, hopelessness; disease, death, poverty, mental health challenges brought to bear, relationships broken, a whole new level of helplessness and hopelessness.
The above doesn’t even begin to describe what many of us, our families and friends and a great many people have gone and continue to go through.
On the flipside, we know many of us that found their breakthrough, their first job, got married to the loves of their lives and started family, careers etc.
The questions in all this: What’s the source of our confidence; what is and where’s our confidence?
Today when the changes are quick and the world appears spinning faster than ever before thanks to social media, blowing everything out of proportion, we need to sit still and in the quiet place proclaim these words: “I am still confident of this, I’ll see the Goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”; “being confident of this, that the One who began the good work will surely bring it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”.
The Lord be with us all and continue to be the Source of our confidence, our Rock and Firm Foundation, the Cornerstone of our lives and everything we hope for. Amen!
